Most of our outdoor areas have been curated and designed by familiar Urby collaborator, Bas Smets. Working with Urby since 2017, Smets’ is as an internationally recognized landscape and architecture designer with over 50 completed projects in more than 12 countries. With clear design intent of blending thriving landscapes with human functionality, Bas Smets’ vision is made apparent when exploring different Urby properties.

Lush greenery and climate appropriate tree and plant species are integral to our thriving outdoor landscapes. Organic forms and natural color palettes in these plant-rich zones create aesthetically pleasing views across properties, while also bringing residents closer to nature in their daily lives.

Urby’s known for its amenity spaces both inside and out. Open-air communal areas such as roof-decks, garden plots, heated saltwater pools, dog parks, personal garden patches, grilling stations, and firepits showcase a commitment to form a vibrant community that encourages connections with neighbors.

We understand the important role that pets play in residents' lives. The creation and design of our dog parks help bring residents and their furry companions closer together. With ample space for pets to stretch their legs, our dog parks have become an everyday essential for pet owners and animal lovers. There’s also no shortage of seating in these areas, so residents can simply relax as their pets play.
