Dallas Urby’s Art Infusion 

Dallas Urby features unique forms of art around every corner. Each piece of art found at Dallas Urby is either handpicked by a design team or handcrafted by a specialized artist. We value creativity and self-expression, and our communal spaces often showcase beautiful works of art for all to enjoy.     

Starting with a sprawling seventy-foot mural that welcomes residents to our lush landscaped courtyard and prismatic pool. Hand painted by Emeline Alé Chaoul, artist and Director for Tili - a Mexican artisan brand, this work of art explores the motifs of traditional Otomi embroidery and displays different colors that derive from the carefully curated pool area.  

Titled “A Flower Blossoms for its Own Joy”, Chaoul’s mural creates a vibrant backdrop to the courtyard and pool area, while also acting as a connector between both Dallas Urby towers. The mural creates a lively backdrop defined by expressive floral forms and bold colors that stand in contrast to its creamy white backdrop. 

This expansive mural transforms the outdoor space into a captivating oasis of natural beauty and tranquility. Stretching across the prominent wall under an overhang, Chaoul’s mural infuses vivid colors with intricate details, mimicking the elegance of blossoming flowers. The artful addition complements the already colorful prismatic pool and evokes connection with the surrounding nature of the courtyard. Whether lounging poolside, taking a refreshing dip, or walking through the lush courtyard, residents are immersed in a world where art and reality come together.  

As you step inside Dallas Urby this artistic theme continues. The leasing offices and select furnished apartment units contain framed hand painted works from native Texan artist Kim Powell. Studying her craft and finding her inspiration living in Mexico and Chile for 18 years, Powell decided to return to the United States in 2019. Her art often explores themes of interconnectedness and transcendence. 

Elaborating on her commissioned art for Urby Powell stated, “Urby features work from two of my art series. The first is the Pop Series, colorful paintings based on abstract water balloons. I love visually deconstructing everyday things and finding new ways of looking at them. The second group of works I call Soul Colors. The original concept is esoteric and related to numerology as well as the color spectrum. But I love creating custom Soul Colors to work in spaces strictly as art.”

Urby welcomes individuality and believes it brings the village closer together.
