SoFar So Good

Dallas Urby has partnered with SoFar Sounds, an intimate live concert series and music community, that brings new and upcoming artists directly to the Dallas Design District. Urby residents and local members of the community are invited to experience exclusive concerts curated throughout shared spaces at Dallas Urby.  

SoFar Sounds was born in London, England in 2010 with the idea of bringing back the intimate and human scaled nature of live music performances. They are known for transforming everyday spaces into captivating venues while providing immersive experiences that brings guests and artists closer together. Dallas Urby shares a similar vision, placing an importance on resident engagement with real and authentic connections. 

To date, Dallas Urby and SoFar Sounds have brought residents and members of the Dallas Design District numerous concerts at tailor-made Urby communal spaces. Specifically, the landscaped courtyard and prismatic pool, created by renowned landscape designer Bas Smets, have been resident favorites and provided the perfect setting for SoFar Sound events. The welcoming nature of the outdoor area blends Urby and SoFar Sounds philosophy together seamlessly. It provides an unparalleled music experience for performers and attendees alike.  

This partnership between Urby and SoFar Sounds extends beyond the events themselves. It has sparked the growth of a lively music community in Dallas where residents, artists, and music enthusiasts come together to celebrate their shared passion for sound and live performance.

With a history of hosting undiscovered talent, SoFar Sounds has platformed major artists early in their careers such as Andra Day, Leon Bridges, Yebba, Lianne La Havas, Khruangbin, Jamila Woods, Billie Eilish, Tank and The Bangas, and Hozier. Recently, Dallas Urby hosted SoFar Sound performances that included rapper R.Q. Tek, internationally renowned guitarist Tony Davis, and PROMISE, as well as various upcoming artists from the Washington DC Area.
