A Taste of Home in Fishtown

A Taste of Home, our recent community event hosted at Fishtown Urby, reimagined our spaces through the lens of neighborhood life and culture in Fishtown. 

The event paired a furnished apartment with a curated lineup of local partners across food, wellness, and retail, each taking over a different part of the apartment. Café Layal served matcha and coffee in the kitchen, Glowbar shared skincare tips in the bedroom, and Kismet Bagels teamed up with Grazing Affairs on the delicious spread. In the living room, Milkcrate Café spun vinyl while Waxery led candle-making, Shop Odd Folk styled vintage pieces in the closet, and guests left with mini bouquets by Myrtle & Magnolia wrapped in The Urby Edit.  

As guests moved through the space, they connected with and supported the small businesses that shape daily life in Fishtown and beyond.  

This Taste of Home event offered a simple shift in perspective on the way you experience a space, less about touring a blank canvas, more about feeling what life is like in it.
