Urby’s New Home in the Dallas Design District  

With two residential towers both standing 27-stories-tall, Dallas Urby has become part of the Dallas Design District’s rich history, a history that traces back to the early 20th century.  

Originally established as the manufacturing hub of the city, the Dallas Design District underwent significant transformations over the decades. During the early to mid-20th century, it was known as the "Market Center" due to its concentration of wholesale trade showrooms and market spaces. During this time, it primarily catered to the interior design and home furnishings industry, allowing artisans, designers, and retailers to flood the area. 

Progressing towards the late 20th century, the Dallas Design District experienced a shift as the focus of Dallas's economic landscape evolved. The district began to diversify its offerings, incorporating art galleries, upscale restaurants, boutiques, and loft-style apartments into the mix. This transformation was accelerated by the conversion of former industrial spaces into contemporary galleries, attracting a new wave of creative businesses and artists.  

Today, the area is currently experiencing a new wave of development projects that are reshaping its landscape and culture. This influx of new residents and young businesses not only adds to the district's visual appeal but also fosters a renewed sense of community and energy to the area.
